THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR * ALL OF PUERTO RICO INCLUDING CULEBRA AND VIEQUES AND ALL OF THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS. * THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON * VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH TODAY ON SOUTHEAST WINDS WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF THE CENTRAL CORDILLERA...THE EASTERN HALF OF PUERTO RICO AND VIEQUES. SHOWERS MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES AND MOVE REPEATEDLY OVER THE SAME AREAS THAT RECEIVED HEAVY RAINS AND HAD FLOODING YESTERDAY. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF TWO TO FIVE INCHES OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THE MOST INTENSE AND PERSISTENT SHOWERS. * SOME SMALL STREAM AND URBAN FLOODING COULD OCCUR TODAY WITH AREAS SOUTH OF THE CENTRAL CORDILLERA AND EASTERN HALF OF PUERTO RICO HAVING THE GREATEST RISK OF EXPERIENCING FLASH FLOODING. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WATCH AREA...WHICH MAY LEAD TO FLOODING.
